The goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life by reducing pain and restoring mobility while keeping their risks minimal.
Dr. LaButti also performs secondary or revision surgery for failed or worn joint replacements as well as osteotomy/ re-alignment surgery and
unicompartmental knee
replacements: alternative or joint sparing procedures for younger more active patients and older patients with single compartmental arthritis.
Dr. LaButti completed his undergraduate studies at Providence College and his medical education at the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine graduating fourth in his class. After completing an internship at Brown University he was accepted into a residency at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in beautiful Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interests in hip and knee surgery led him to seek a one year fellowship in lower extremity and joint reconstruction with Kenneth Krackow, MD, internationally recognized for innovative advancements in hip and knee replacement surgery.
Dr. LaButti currently is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. And currently serves as Assistant Program director for the orthopedic surgery residency at the university. He coordinates and supervises on-going clinical research for the orthopedic residency program which has been presented at numerous conferences across the country.
Dr. LaButti resides in South Tulsa with his wife Robin and Jesse their yellow lab.
